4:42 you can use a mod called "pehukie" to change the size of your charchter ingame allowing you to be in a much more detailed enviroment and be the correct scale

Honestly the best way to do it would to use the chisel & bits mod, or an equivalent to get tiny blocks

There’s also a space sense feature which will show the outline of your room and furniture as an overlay in VR, which would be useful while building

Instead of world edit, I would use Axiom. It’s pretty much the same but a lot better
