The Hamilton khaki automatic and Seiko alpinist (6r35 varient) are two of my favorite watches under 1000 usd. Both have a solid 70+ hours powerreserve and run very accurately.

So many great options. Basically anything from Seiko, Citizen, Orient and Tissot are your best options under $1000. I’d love to see other videos for each price range!

I am a seiko fan! Love their history, contributions and innovations! I like them at all price ranges! The fact that seiko can make a 200$ watch and a 10k$ watch is amazing!! Nobody can compete with their dials when compared price range to price range…enameled, porcelain, textured, and way more…
It also helps that i live in Tokyo so yes i have a bunch of seikos and had great experiences with seiko and their customer service… had one king turtle missaligned… sent it in and they fixed it and i even got a nice thank you letter handwritten, thanking ME for my support to the brand. I own several omegas and oris and other brands as well.

Your assessment of seiko is refreshing to hear. I am an owner of both ends of the seiko spectrum with watches like the seiko 5 and presage coctail to my grand seiko. I must say thats what i like about seiko is that i feel im getting the most they can give me at every pricing point. Wether it be sub $1000 all the way up to the Grand. Im eyeballing an alpinest for my next purchase from seiko. Absolutely love the brand all up and down the spectrum.👍

Seiko JDM watches are a lot of fun. I grabbed a thier green baby turtle in 2020 and absolutely love it. Hamilton khaki and the interstellar day/date are also awesome. I just wish Hamilton would realize that not every case needs to be 42mm

The Seiko Capitan Willard can be found under 1k and the Victorinox swiss army Air boss chronograph also equipped with the Valjoux 7750 that needs no introduction in horology

A vintage Sturmankie all grey dial with VJ7734 based P31659 movement and true aviation heritage is one of the best picks below 1000$ IMHO.

The Doxa is really nice looking, and should be great size for my 7-1/4" wrist. I need to try one on the next time I'm at my local Watches of Switzerland, because they now carry Doxa. Not being able to try them on has been my one hesitation with purchasing, and I hope they continue to expand the physical presence in the U.S.

My favorite watch is under $1000. it is listed at $900 ish. But you can get them on sale brand new at about 650. It's the Hamilton "interstellar" or the "Cooper". You get some luxury at a very good bargain. It has an 80 hour power reserve, Saphire sandwich, a descent bracelet, version of an Etta movement and the watch face is really unique the way applied indices reflect the light. sometimes they look like they completely lighted and under other angles the indices completely disappear. it's gorgeous for the price point. The halfway skeletonized hands have the minute hand that has skeleton on the inside and lume toward the end while the hour hand has lume toward the middle and skeletonized toward the tip so when they light up togethe, r they look like one lumed hand.

Seiko is almost unbeatable at this price point. Divers - check, non-diver sports watches - check, dress watches - check, vintage - no problem, limited editions - even less problem.
