Is 'Mormonism' Christian?

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints would seem to be a Christian church. However, when examined the doctrines of "Mormonism" stand in stark contrast to biblical and historic Christianity. Rev. Tom Loghry will be offering a seminar explaining the origins of the LDS Church and presenting the important differences between these two religions.

Just to correct/clarify - at 00:54:42, the pre-mortal plan of salvation narrative is principally found in the Book of Moses, but the Book of Abraham adds to these details as well.

LDS guy here...I couldn't watch the whole thing because I've got to be somewhere. There's a lot of things so far that I can clear up for you, but not in a comments section on a YT video :) Bottom line...you are just like us...sons & daughters of God, wanting to be closer to Him. In that sense, we're all on the same team. The Bible's great...we love it...a lot of important Doctrines are in there...the basis for all Christianity. The Book of Mormon is "another testament of Jesus Christ". It does not "replace" or "refute" the Bible. It confirms things in the Bible, clears up other things that are no so straight forward, and provides additional insights. Why is the church still growing so quickly? Interesting question...maybe read the Book of Mormon with an open mind/heart and pray specifically about it...with REAL intent...just wanting to know. If done with an honest heart/mind, HF will let you know. Happy to share more if you just have questions or want to understand...but I have no desire to contend with you.

For starters, there's no such thing as Mormonism, it's: the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. And yes, Latter-day Saints are 100% Christian who love and respect our fellow Catholic, Protestant and non-denominational Christians.

How incredibly disappointing this video is. All the time and energy put to a work that could be used for such better and more noble things in the world that we live in today. Although I haven't watched the whole presentation, so far, your biggest error was claiming that the alleged revelation of John Taylor was in fact a revelation from him. It has never been accepted as legitimate, was never presented to any church council, nor ever considered authoritative in any way.
