Saw him live in 1993 in a very small club. There were only about 100 people there. After each song he would ask what we wanted him to play next. When the show was over he and Peter White came out and shook the hands of the people who stayed. Still have the guitar pick he gave me.

Loved this song, he was definitely a great part of the Seventies music for me. Great Sax solo.

It was quite an honor to meet Al after a concert and chat while helping him carry his several guitars back to his hotel room.
If someone would have told me back in the mid-70s during my high school days that someday I'd meet Al and get some one on one chat time with him, or that I'd have the pleasure of buying Ambrosia a round in the Bar after a concert, or spend an evening a couple arms-lengths from Robert Plant, have Roger Daltrey walk up and ask a favor or buy Barry McGuire lunch - I'd never believe it, but life has a way of pleasantly surprising us at times.
Now I'm just an old bald guy with a few hobbies & good memories to walk with strolling down amnesia lane every so often, and when I do I drink... uhm, I mean I enjoy bringing up the old tracks & tunes for the nostalgia of it. 🥹😭😁

I believe this 'live' performance is actually dubbed from the studio recording. And that's Al Stewart's longtime bass player Robin Lamble pretending to play the saxophone.
