I think the correct way of saying it is, not every sura is addressed to you. The entire Quran is for the world.

But entire Quran is for entire humanity muslims and non muslims. Each and every verse is important, and we will benefit from all despite referring to particular audiences.

Al-Kafirun is for the believers! It instructs us how to speak/deal with the defiant disbelievers. It also teaches us to be firm upon our deen and not compromise 'I will never worship what you worship'. If you read the context in which it was revealed, you would realise this was a strong lesson Allah sent to the Prophet ﷺ and mankind about being firm upon our deen

Kul ya ayahal kafirun is for every body even if a surah doesnt directly address me it still has lessons i can take from it.

Surah Alkafirun is for the Muslims not the disbelievers. In this verse Allah teaches the believers how to respond to the disbelievers.

That's why I always advice people who are newly introduced to Quran to find a knowledgeable person to understand the Quran, so that the meaning is not contaminated with humans mere perception.

I do agree with him. I try to read every surah but most of the time I choose surah which will help me with my current situation. But as a Muslim you should definitely read the whole Quran.

But according to my opinion and experience, every Ayah you read seems to be revealed for us, only ourselves. The Qur'an talks with us with every single word and it's like it knows what we were going through, what we're trying to find, and what's happening in our lives SübhanAllah!!. I think every surah is relevant to everyone, because no condition is guarantee to be permanent, a believer can become an unbeliever, for me the surahs that are ment for the unbelievers are the once that strengthen my inam, because the argument in those surahs are very strong
