How To Install KOMPLETE 13 (Ultimate Collector's Edition)

How to install Native Instruments KOMPLETE 13 using Native Access. Installation is the same for standard KOMPLETE 13 thru Ultimate Collector's Edition.

In this video we'll install the boxed version of Komplete 13 Ultimate Collector's Edition. The installation will be the same for the download version, except you will download everything.

Even with the hard drive version, you will need to download around 100 GBs because all of the installers are not included on the drive.

The hard drive is ONLY for installation purposes! You cannot run Komplete from the included hard drive.

You MUST install the content on to another hard drive. It can be an external drive, or internal drive.

For the best performance, install to a non-OS SSD drive.

You will use Native Access to register, install, and update all Native Instruments plugins, VI's, and sample libraries.

Get the latest version of Native Access here:

Before installing, make sure you go through the preferences and set your Download Location, Content Location, and VST Location. Leave the Application Location to the default.

If you install the VST2 files to the default location, you will need to add that path to your DAW, otherwise you won't find your VST2 plugins.

VST3 and AAX will always install to the proper locations.

Thanks for video my friend. I have a question that is confusing the tar out of me? I am ordering a new MacbookPro. They have option to upgrade internal SSD drive to up to 8 TB. My question can you use a single internal SSD drive to install everything (operating system, Ableton, Komplete, Plugins, documents and both audio and video projects. I would use a cloud based service or secondary drive to backup samples and projects. Just wondering now that they have these super fast processors and huge SDD drives if using a secondary drive is necessary.

Wow, this is a really great way to install the software. I downloaded it and it took DAYS to load all of the libraries, not including the install errors. I did not save any time on the download version. I won't make that mistake again for future versions.

Mine won’t install in a LaCie 2tb SSD Pro nor a 1tb internal SSD with 400gb free. I get this not enough space Error. It’s a bit discouraging :/

just wondering, can i buy and install Komplete 13 ultimate collectors edition upgrade when i now have Komplete 12 select installed? Do I have to make a step in between like first install Komplete 13 before i cab install the upgrade? I've been googling like craze but can't figure this out?!

Hi I have the komplete 13 Collectors edition upgrade which base product did you have first before installing this upgrade. I bought komplete 13 (not the ultimate) and still says I am missing the base product .Pls help

I’m currently trying to install Komolete collectors addition but it only installed 30 of the 208 installs. I was able to get all my applications installed but now everything immediate states install failed when I click install. I’ve messed with the install locations in preferences and nothings working at this point. Only a couple worked perfectly fine to install and I’m left with only about 15% of this $1, 000 software that’s usable.

Any suggestions?

Tnx man! One question I installed a few instruments on a HD but now I want to pass all the new contents on another SSD HD. I must uninstall the instrument from the older one or I can simply install a new complete library on the new one and format the older? Or there is a procedure to follow? tnx for ur answer!!

My 1 tb external drive was empty, and my os drive had a 100 GB free space. Now both of them are completely full. What do i do to make my komplete 13 ultimate collectors edition to only be using 30 GB? My brand new computer crashes every 5 minutes and is now very slow
