Its silly. I Started with KU-8, then Upgraded to KU12 -Collectors., Recently I Upgraded to KU13-Collectors (waiting on delivery. ) Yet, i have downloads, and files allll over heaps of hard drives. I WISH. Id seen this video like 5yrs ago. I LOVE how simply you explain it, and how you dont RUSH (so many people just rush thru the basics, because for them its just "Normal.") THIS is how these companies should sell Products! NOT, a bunch of mini films!!!

Hi there,
So to be clear, it is just the Content Location that is downloaded onto your external hardrive while the rest of locations (Download, Application, VST 64, VST 32) are onto your computer?

Hi thanks for the video. I have a 1TB internal drive, with you 680gigs left. Do you think that’s enough for NI? I can leave some of the huge instruments (strings) off for now.

I know you can only install Komplete on up to three computers while only being able to use one at a time.
But my question is how many times can I delete and redownload my purchased content to the same computer?? I ask this because I don't have a big enough hard drive for all of it. So if I'm not using something I can delete it to make room for something else and then redownload it again whenever I need it. Or would they say Im only allowed to download content so many times?

thanks for sharing. If I'm on the road with my MacBook pro, i don't ned that NI hard drive anymore ( after it has been already installed ) ? so all the sounds shall be used on external hard drive ( maybe one drive in studio and a copy on a external drive for the road ) ? Thanks for your advice.

I have an Apple M1 system. I got Komplete 13 Ultimate on sale because of this video. It acts funky though. Intel only for now. It will be work on Apple silicon.... someday.

hi am new to komplete and i went ahead to purchase the komplete 13 collectors edition upgrade without having the base version i installed native access and a serial number was requested upon inputting the serial number i got an error message saying "YOU ARE MISSING THE BASE PRODUCT FOR WHICH THIS UPGRADE IS VALID" i search the internet looking for the right base product that fit the upgrade i purchased but couldn't find any only upgrades is what i see on the third party retail stores any help? :( and to let you know i own the upgrade that cost 599$ is that helps . Thank you i advance.

I have an issue. my Cubase 10.5 can receive the MIDI but somehow the Kontact is not receiving any. and not even in the stand alone instruments. Need help,

If you purchase the product box do you get download access of the product as well? Concerned about the case that the installation hard drive is lost.

I've got the 13 Ultimate Collectors Addition. As someone who has spent 10s of thousands of dollars on various VST libraries and whatnot, here's my advice to musicians thinking about getting into digital recording and virtual electronic instruments (MUSICIANS... not DJs "Producers" or other button-pushers. I have no advice for you.) Just buy Komplete 13 Ultimate Collector's Edition and Komplete Kontrol SS 88 midi controller... and maybe a 61 key one to boot. Leave the Kawai MP11SEs, VSL Synchron Pianos, Pianoteq Pro, Keyscape, VI Labs, UVI etc. alone. You're welcome.

Hello Douglas. Thank you for your videos. I’m owner stage 3 and 6d but I have question about komplete software. I have komplete 9 ultimate but not yet on my mac. I have CD’s and serial number. I used komplete 9 on my old mac. My question is:
Do I have to first install my komplete 9 ultimate on my new mac and than buy update 13 ultimate and also install on new mac ?
Second question: I want install all on external hard drive. What kind a os hard drive you recommend ?

Thanks for the video. Quick question. You said you upgraded from Komplete 11 Select. Aside from more virtual instruments, what were the other benefits of upgrading to version 13? I'm thinking about diving into the Native Instruments eco-system (hardware and software) so very much looking forward to your future videos about Komplete 13. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for the info. I was thinking(hoping lol) that the drive would be used as a external disk for the komplete sample library.
Do you know if we are able to use the installation disk as a external drive after it deletes the files that came on it? What size is the drive? I know it is a SSD disk.

Any help is appreciated
