I live south of Montréal. My town is 50/50 french and english. At work, we speak frenglish. The english and french war seems very amplified in other provinces. Here, french and english population work in pair. Sad to see what other people think of us in other provinces. By the way, je suis francophone et je suis capable d'écouter une vidéo en anglais et écrire en anglais. Je n'ai rien contre la communauté anglophone. Half my friends are english et l'autre moitié francophone. J'ai des amis italiens, marocains, américains... I think we can live in peace

I actually love these little rating videos, also pretty accurate for montreal especially the divide of english and french, one of the couple of stuff i haven't considered

You forgot to mention we are on an island here in Montreal lol given Quebec's tyrannical behaviour during the pandemic and lockdowns, it wouldn't be too far fetched to say it would be easy to cut off access to the bridges.

London would be a complete 0/10 to survive in.

Small northern towns would fare well. Lots of preppers in the north. We teach wilderness survival in highschool.

Montreal is so multicural now, that thier is very few cultural bound between most of its citizens. The French/English problem is the least is you compare it to the one related about non compatible cultures. Somes groups already hate each others. I would rank Montreal only 2 or 3 for survivable scale.

Pretty much everywhere in the United States your 30 to 40 minutes from a Nuclear Facility if not closer. A large supplied bunker would be the only choice IMO

Hey @CanadianPrepper can you do a video updating just what the current stances are on the main hot-points that could flare up... (Maybe a top 5 🤔)

I know myself and many others would be intrigued with a refresher on what's currently the Focal point and what's just variables.. not to minimize their importance though..

Thanks 😊

Other than the Nuclear target & EMP taking out power generation I agree.
Population will thin itself post SHTF. Many will not have fire arms due to PM.
Montreal also has abundant tools and repair parts.
Prince Edward Island is not too far off - those folks have fire arms and a longer growing season.

What's missing from these videos is how local government would cope in such a crises. See Threads for incompetence of emergency planning and especially the unsuitability of their cellar (below a 3 storey city centre building which took a direct hit, air conditioning went down suffocating them, they used a diesel generator and continued using it while the air conditioning was down, zero preparedness in roles, serious anger management issues typical of the time, inability to cope with the problems that besieged them).

If you are going to bug in in a cellar at least consider how you'd get out if the building collapses. eg pickaxe, props, a shovel and a digging tool.

Local government should at least have some plan in place that includes drills and that should be available to the public. There was nothing in place for radiation testing, reserve medical supplies, water, water purification, food reserves, seed banks, shelters for the public and no post 2 weeks organising beyond shooting and incarcerating looters.

The last thing you want to do when you've lot over 60% of your population is reduce it further including what skills they have.

Fredericton has a French and English division hydro power among others including nuclear. Massive military base, water galore, direct access to ocean and so many pros and cons.

No cities are a good place to be during end of time armageddon war disease and famine because they are the hardest hit simply because there are too many people in a very small area. Get out of cities and try to find a place where you can have access to basic things for survival the rest will follow. The millions of small rivers and lakes are all over the province of Quebec and its a huge place to find your spot. But that’s only in the worst case scenario cause no one wants to leave their convenient life behind unless it’s their lives are threatened

They'd be eating each other within a week. If a million people had nothing to eat there wouldn't be a rat still moving. Last place you would want to be when there's no food is around other people. Total death trap.

Why would Montreal be a nuclear target? It doesn't have nuclear missiles to neutralize.
