Belief Bias

Belief bias is a cognitive bias that occurs when individuals' judgment of the validity or soundness of an argument is influenced by their preexisting beliefs and personal opinions, rather than by the logical structure of the argument itself. In other words, people tend to evaluate arguments based on whether they align with their existing beliefs rather than objectively assessing the logical reasoning presented in the argument.
