US seizes Venezuela’s ‘Air Force 1’

The United States has seized Venezuela President Nicolas Maduro’s airplane after determining that its acquisition was in violation of US sanctions, among other criminal issues. CNN's Kylie Atwood reports.

So that aircraft has the same level of diplomatic status, like an embassy has a level of diplomatic status. So when the US doesn't respect other countries diplomatic status for aircraft, I wonder if the US will expect the diplomatic status of all it's embassy's, consolates, diplomatic staff and diplomatic vehicles, to be respected. I think perhaps the US hasn't seen how this could backfire on the US somehow.
