We always hear that there is a penalty for late enrolment in Medicare part B .... So, what exactly is that penalty?? I would assume that you pay a higher monthly part B premium.... What is that amount in dollars?

Retired military should sign up for part A and B only. Tricare for Life will act as a supplement. Tricare for Life covers prescriptions.

If you are a 100 percent you can file for SSDI. If you're lucky enough to get approved you get part A free. I got part B along with it so I can go to my civilian doctor. Its always good to have an option.

If you are a veteran that is 100% permanent & total would I still need to apply for Medicare at 65? Or can I just stick to the VA?

This involves me. I am honorably discharged after 4 years in the Air Force. I turn 65 in February of 2023. But, I am currently living in the Philippines. Can I enroll in Medicare and MediGap plans on the internet?

How can tri-care for life be affected if I'm being seen outside of the VA ? I believe that there's 2 or 3 level's of tri-care.

After a budget increase from $50B to $250B VA they still are as bad as they ever were..the VA is an abyss for tax dollar without a real benefit to veterans.
