I haven't washed a bike with anything but a light spray cleaner (Meguire's EZ Clean) and a microfiber cloth in over 10 years. I will not put a hose on anything. And if I do end up in a rainy situation, I take the wheels off and clean the wheel hubs and apply new lube to the chain and axles.

Cover the exhaust end.. especially if you washing it after a ride and storing it away.

Hey, steal two screws from the compartment under your rear seat, you can use those for where you removed the front reflectors, then put those stand-offs in where you stole the screws from.
