Does Anyone CARE About Peacock? (NBC Universal's FREE* Streaming Service)

NBC Universal launched their new streaming service this week and it's free, but does anyone actually care? I look at the service in this video and give my thoughts.

A part of me wonders if Universal will have the guts to have all of The Office available on the free tier of the service once the rights on Netflix expire.

Most of the free content is available on Amazon Prime. Don't know for how much longer. Really don't like that Everybody Loves Raymond is behind the premium wall. Surprised we don't have more tv shows.

Honestly I'm not shocked that Days of Our Lives is on here I mean it is an NBC properties so of course it's going to be available to stream, I'm more surprised seeing like ViacomCBS classic shows like Everybody Loves Raymond, murder She wrote, The Carol Burnett Show, Two in a half men, King of Queens, like you would think that would be more for CBS all access to stream those on. even Fox Network own shows like Hell's kitchen, kitchen nightmares and House M.D are also on here, wow.

The sports section I can understand because it's NBC and also it was planned that peacock was going to be utilized for NBC's coverage of the Olympics hence why It also launched at this time because the Olympics were supposed to start at this time as we all know they've been postponed to next year, so when the summer olympics begin that's when I will feel like a channel feature in the sports section will be much heavier use aon peacock when the Olympics Begin next year .

There's this show on here called Cleopatra In Space (based on a graphic novel from 2014), which was released in other countries starting in late November. Episode 6, "The Flu", is not on Peacock, due to its plot about Cleo getting some kind of sickness and everyone at school gets sick.

Man when the TV channels were hyping it up I was like "ok but I see nothing" and I was right about it.

5:20 this is not weird to me because CBS all access has something similar like this, what I am not liking is that there's not a way for peacock to live stream your local NBC station which is kind of a bad thing, because with them not doing something like CBS all access, because now a lot of of NBC's local affiliates do not like peacock, a big display of this is the recent action to not broadcast the 1 hour 30 Rock reunion special on their stations because it's basically a glorified 1 hour promo of new content of peacock, yeah I feel like sooner or later Comcast it has to do something where they're able provide live feed broadcast of your local NBC Network because their affiliates do not like this platform and fear like it's going to take their viewers.

They have one show that I got really excited about. Twisted tales of Felix the cat. It was made during the 90s and it is one of the hidden gems that often gets overlooked, so I was super excited to find out it’s available for streaming on this service.

The Adventure Zone animated series is going to be on Peacock I think, I literally had no idea the service even existed before that was announced and I still barely know anything about it.

The only thing i know about Peacock is that it's gonna have a TV show based on Indivisible (although with the current state of Lab Zero games it's kinda doubtful)

It took me a moment to figure out how to see all movies or shows A-Z on Peacock. It’s doable though. But if you don’t fiddle with it, it’s easily missable. You have to go to movies or tv shows, go down to the last row which is movies or shows A-Z, and then select view all. On something like an Apple TV it’s even weirder, you have to swipe left and it gives you the option to view all A-Z. It’s definitely not intuitive, but it’s possible to see everything at once.

I actually really like the live tv feature. It reminds me of cable and I have a weird nostalgic feeling for it.

I mean, the The Adventure Zone cartoon was announced a while ago to be a Peacock thing, but I don't even know if I can even access it; I'm brazilian.

I didn't even know that this streaming service existed until you talked about it. It's disappointing that the animation section is lacking, especially the classic cartoons.

They would be better just keeping their content on Netflix or Hulu. I'm not paying for another streaming service
