Thank you for watching my videos! This channel is dedicated to animal education and improving the lives of captive animals.
Here’s little about me!
My name is Meghan Arriola and I live in Texas with my husband Jaime, where I dedicate my time to taking care of exotic and domesticated animals on my farm. We run a rescue and sanctuary for animals like alpacas, birds and reptiles. I do animal education presentations for groups and schools. Our alpacas also do events where we are able to teach people about these unique animals. I have used service dogs for medical needs for over 10 years and I am an advocate for assistance animals and mental health awareness.
I am an animal educator that brings science related ideas to an audience from around the world by presenting fun and interesting topics in a family friendly way. Animals touch our lives in unique ways everyday as simply being our pets and companions, but how can we make their lives equally as special now that they live in captivity? My YouTube channel and blog explore ways to meet this goal by tackling things like animal behavior, human-animal relationships and veterinary medicine. Animal science is a great way to teach people of all ages that education is fun and nerdy is cool.
My previous animal related work experience includes working in veterinary clinics, private zoos, training horses and volunteer work in wildlife rehabilitation, rescue/foster/adoption programs and therapeutic horsemanship for children with disabilities.
When I am not working with animals, I am working at the health care clinic owned by my husband Jaime and I, where we provide services to low income, minority neighborhoods. We have been on the frontlines fighting covid19. I also have a passion for art and I am an award winning painter and photographer and published author. I am naturally very introverted but I am extroverted about sharing my passions and doing my part to make the world a better place!

Finally figured out the strange sound coming from one of my neighbors house. Wasn't annoying to me but I was concerned a pet was in pain😁

This video is so nostalgic for me, especially hearing all their calls. I grew up with peacocks in my yard. Completely free range. My family lived out in the country and a group of peacocks just “showed up” on our property one day and never left.

A white peacock for me. I’ll name it “Lord Shen.” Although I still prefer the blue ones.

My Grandfather's family used to raise Pea Fowl back in the 1920's and 30's and I want to do that also! 🤗 I lived and worked on a farm 5 years ago in Western Colorado which had a full-grown male Peacock named Yoda.He and I became fast friends and would come running to me anytime I would call his name and when he was perched high up 30 feet from his Cottonwood tree all he would is simply glide down and land beside me! Their loud, tropical, horn-like voice takes some getting used to but soon becomes comforting!

2:43 YES! I have a photo studio in my neighborhood that had a peacock and even though I never saw it I would always hear it during the summer.

I’d love to know more about the typical behaviors of these gorgeous birds!

You are the first person I have came across that is positive about having peafowl . Usually it’s all negative about these birds . They are my favorite bird and one day would love to have them . I’m a vet tech and all I hear are how difficult they are.

I really love peacocks, they're so peculiar as an evolutionary study and just beautiful to behold. I live in Denmark and they live wild in certain parts of the country due to once being popular to breed by aristocracy or something like that, hence why they're often found near old manors and such

Can’t believe how much fantastic info you packed into a 8min video. I wish I had enough land to where I could safely have some. Beautiful birds!

back when i still went to school, in the summer months there would be a pair of peacocks roaming the school area
one male one female i think
im not even sure if they were wild or domesticated or something in between but they would walk around the empty playgrounds, squawk and from time to time fly onto rooftops.
it was always a joy to see them again, such exotic and remarkable birds!

havent seen them here for a loooong time now, i miss them :/

My Dad used to own a peacock that liked to ride on the lawnmower. What a display! 😆
