I’m not really a Madonna fan, but she deserved an Oscar for Evita…she actually channeled Evita for this role, and she deserved a lot better from the motion picture academy.

You know when they were asked if they took all children into the marriage during their vows they could without lying say yes despite the fact they knew they weren't going to have children because the whole nation of Argentina were the children of Eva Duarte and Juan Perone. And the Antonia Banderas line at the end of this is very interesting... also, if Eva Duarte were able to rise to political power herself she wouldn't have used Perone and if he hadn't needed a first lady like her, poverty stricken, able to gain popularity among the lower class, he wouldn't have used her. That's just the way it is.
