ZBrush needs to implement the concept of subtool local orientation and duplicate linked just simpler and better.

the spin edges thing, the weird split view editing, very tedious and unnecessary workflow if you ask me, just give us a "copy and instance subtool" button with the ability to sculpt on any of the instances including the original but keeping the original symmetry plane even when posing the instanced subtools, this method of instancing mesh is cheap and useless in a creative / ideation / iteration stage .

The mirror and weld doesn't actually mirror it? Not a problem if your mesh is symmetrical like yours is, but I'm trying to do this with feet and now I've just got two right feet.

Zbrush : can do amazing things
Also Zbrush : lol can't put a mesh in the right direction when mirroring so you have to do it manually by spinning the edges of the mesh

I have a bug with instance. When i press "create instance subtool" - i see plane without another subtools. Nanomesh isn`t active

When subtool are not symmetrical this workflow get even more complicate 1 side need to flip H.

Anyone know where the "Edit Mesh" subtool is (the mesh on the right split screen)?
I'm trying to export that one but I can't find it.

Why is the mirror and weld broken for instances made this way? Kinda janky that you need to fix the mirroring manually. I also wonder how you're supposed to select dragged out duplicates of the instance, as it seems like they all have the same group, and if you try and assign groups manually it breaks the nanomesh setup.

This is awesome, thank you for these videos. When using this method and you are editing your mesh and add an IMM object does it always have to be dynameshed together or can they be kept separate?

I tended to favor Arraymesh over this trick, though. I'll give it a shot since the macro makes it obvious to use. Thanks for your uploads!
