Quick and Easy Royal Icing recipe!

Hi everyone! With the stiff consistency royal icing you can make flowers, outline cookies, write on cookies or cakes, and many more things.

Recipe:
2 lbs confectioners sugar
5 tbs meringue powder
2 tsp vanilla
3 tbs strained fresh lemon juice
10 tbs warm water

You can use any gel food coloring you’d like.

You can substitute the lemon for water if you don’t want lemon juice.

I will be making some cookies that I will be using this royal icing on and will show you how I thin the icing for filling in my cookies.

Must you use meringue powder? Can you substitute with something else ?
