What Book of the Bible Should you Read Next?

People ask me all the time what book of the Bible to read first, next, if they are burnt out, etc. And this is a hard question to answer without first asking them "what have you read?" so in todays video I share with you all my thoughts around what book of the Bible to read based on if you're a newby, a burnt-out Christian, needing wisdom, questioning God, etc. Books of the Bible for all those things! Even one for if you're dealing with church hurt!

I'm a rabbit chaser. I will start reading a book and something will jump out at me that starts me on a search. I used to be able to read the Bible through, generally underlining or highlighting something that stood out to me. But, as I started getting more personal with God's Word, I found that I have now become a topical person. This includes lineages, lately. I have a One Year Chronological Bible that I may or may not ever get through! But I love, love, love His Word!!!

Ahhh I so needed this today!! I was reading through Deuteronomy and just couldn’t finish. I’ve been itching to reread Ruth and felt “guilty” ditching De but I just went with it. Maybe I’m the only one, but I had never read the stories of Ruth, Jonah, Job, or Daniel myself. I only ever heard them in church or bible story books. Actually reading and studying them has been amazing. There was so much that I didn’t know about those stories.

Just signed up for the boot camp.
Feels like an answered prayer. I’m a new mom and working from home while looking after my family. Sometimes I feel like I don’t have enough time and have no structure too. I feel like this will help me so much and provide structure too.

I also always feel like I lack great thoughts to share about the Bible when surrounded by people who have done theology classes. I get lost and don’t understand what they are saying sometimes. I pray that this brings me closer to Christ and also gives me knowledge about Him.♥️

Thank you so much for this video, Faith. That last bit about allowing yourself to be in the Word exactly as you need it for the day is so freeing. I feel embarrassed sometimes because I've been spending time in the Bible for a few years now, but I haven't got all that far in it because I spend so much time on each section.
