How to Remove Hanging Strips Without Damaging Your Wall Paint - Command Brand

Many people don’t know the proper method to remove command brand or any brand hanging strips without damaging their wall paint. This short video will show you how to do it correctly without causing any damage or chipping to your wall paint.

We are in real estate and we see these issues often when staging a home or hanging things temporarily or desiring to move artwork/photos/paintings from one location to another location.

I was woeried that I wouldnt be able to use them on my walls since they arent flat, but looking at your walls they are the same as mine so I got nothing to worry about now

Must of only been on the wall for a short time. I had them on my walls, will never do it again, for a couple of years. Only three came off, as shown on the video. The rest 36 total pulled paint or left a glue residue. I was not happy. Easier to fill nail holes.

If you want to re-hang that picture you just removed, do you have to take the command strips off the frame or re-use?

That helps, however sometimes it doesn’t matter how careful you are and if you pull down and slowly. They are just a bad product.

Is this same like double sided tape or it is different from that ? Is that one damage painting ?

How long have your pictures been on the wall? I found after hanging them with the strip for a couple of years, it is very difficult to pull it off. The strips dry out and become brittle.
