Rwd is only slightly better than fwd when it comes to being an idiot in the planet fitness parking lot

hell fwd is the reason why a modded & tuned civics are beating some v8s in street races

FWD really isn’t that bad. I’ll pick it over RWD for daily driving but never in a video game. You just can’t do wheelies or drifts like you can with a rear wheel drive

Focus ST was my first FWD car and I love it. LSD, coilovers, larger turbo and better motor mounts have almost eliminated the torque steer and traction problems. 350 wheel HP and I can get 32 Mpg doing 80 on the highway.

Front wheel drive was created for one purpose it was cheap to build. It's cheaper to put into the body of the car. It uses less material.

My Integra GS-R is a blast, and it’s evidence that people who clown on fwd have never driven a sporty fwd car, or maybe never driven hard at all. With a balance towards oversteer, I’ve pushed it close to its limit here and there, but never understeered. If you feel the front tires getting a little loose you can come off the throttle sharply, maybe tug the hand break and the rear comes out to give you that rotation you’re looking for

Dont forget about the dreaded torque steer that the Mazdaspeed 3 is famous for😂

In a regular Civic I recently averaged 40 mpg while on a road trip. That’s fun in a different way.

I’m not gonna argue the fwd is great or anything but it’s just what I need for getting to work. Now if this was a full racecar build then I’d rather invest in a awd car. But I don’t know if there’s any cooler modification you can do to your car then swapping your fwd drivetrain engine and transmission to the back to make a rwd car, that would be legendary

Some mad lad should make a mid engine front wheel drive just to see what happens.

Fwd can place gas tank between rear wheels making it safer when you crash your car. Also it's much easier to make a flat floor.

Rwd with traditionally placed transmission has naturally heated cup holders as a bonus.

Ive got a cobalt with the superchager and what I do is trailbreaking so you oversteer and as long as you continue too hold the brakes a bit it after the rear comes out it will hold in oversteer and doesnt spin out really. Also you need enough momentum so youve gotta send it. Sometimes ill undesteer then violently let off the throttle and then the cars front will regain traction and the rear end comes out and then get on the gas again.

That clip of the video of the guy driving with snap understeer blows my absolute mind

my old s40 t5 was so much fun, nobody can convince me otherwise

another good thing about FWD is torque vectoring, if you accelerate in a controled way they steer more without losing grip

My idea of car fun is for it to be sideways. I like front wheel drive too but for my daily VW Passat B6 2.0 T.D.I. It has 488 528 km on the odometer and still runs fine ( for now ). The rust is the only problem. I got a 3M mask a spray gun for my compresor and will buy a better tig welder so i can fix that pice of rust on wheels.

Love a rear wheel drive but front wheel drive can be just as fun with the right people

Fwd is the king when it comes to roll racing since they can put down the most percentage of the engine power too the wheels

I personally believe turning fast is better than straight line fast. Ive driven a rivian, a mach e, a lightning, and a tesla. Yes, that stuff is great, but making turns going a bit faster than grandma and hiting that out going faster than you went in is just a great feeling. I haven't personally driven that way with too many rwds however. Idc what you're driving, if its nimble, you'll have just as much fun taking those turns at 3gs as you would that staright line.
