Personally i don't think Goku would have an Ego because of that potential he had, but he would be like saitama. The saitama of dragon ball. He would beat every enemy so easily that he would get bored but not get an ego. As soon as someone has the same strenght as him, in the fight he would become thousands of times stronger and defeat him just to make him get bored all over again

I appreciate that you understand having the highest potential in the universe doesn't mean anything if Goku doesn't train as hard as he always did. Losing to Cell makes sense if he fought him immediately.

how about a what if goku learned fusion early. it could be that king kai recommends it and gets a metamorphan to teach it to him. or what if goten and trunks were born early, like there conception was right before the 3 year training time of the android saga.
