this perfectly describes a friend I've been friends with for about 4 years- she asks me for help on a bunch of math and elar assignments, but when I need help she says I'm too smart and "doesn't understand the subject anyway". She always talks about her events and when I try to talk she just continues her talking. She only spends time with me bc she's bored on the bus or in class

Damn this is so relatable.
This happens with all my 'friends' and I m always the one to start the conversation but I want them to start it first.
My teachers and parents always ask me to approach them first but Im the one that is approaching them but I just give up so I dun approach ppl a lot anymore. :)

This literally explains my “friends” im better academically and at other activities so they just wanted to be friends for that one reason but im just a third wheeler even after 2 years and i only get talked to when it comes to them wanting something or their other problems.
