The CASTAWAYS - Liar, Liar / The KNICKERBOCKERS - Lies - stereo

1. The Castaways - Liar, Liar #12 in September 1965 on the Soma label.
2. The Knickerbockers - Lies #20 on January 1, 1966 but was released in November 1965 on the Challenge label.
Both songs are the stereo versions.

Two great oldies. Soma Records - the Fendermen and the Castaways, and not a whole lot more. The Knickerbockers - great vocals, tight instrumental work, should have gone a lot further, they were that good. Thanks for this interesting combo of greats.

The castaways played a one nighter at the red velvet club soon after we started there in Hollywood in September’65. They were good! We recorded “Lies” a few weeks later and soon after our record was climbing the charts! Good memories! Thanks for the post.
