I may have an idea for your problem, if you have any 1x2 flat lego bricks left over. You can stack 1 or 2 maybe 3 of those together and replace the legs with the stack of 1x2 bricks maybe that will fix that height problem

it looks better as a convertible, keep the trooper figs in it, , take the center section out of the top, , keep the windshield and rear engine cover and the center open, they will fit
