How does the noise in the room produced by this kit compare to other v-drums that don't have the acoustic shells?

How about this compared to the new Alesis pro SE ? You sell that model or have you tried it?

I have one of these kits, in my oppinion as you can hear there are more absolute rubbish sounds that any musician that apreciates a nice produced sound would never use. Most of the kits were so toppy and clicky that they all need to be re equed. All of the presets needed serious ajustment. I have been a sound engineer for more years than I can remember touring with many drummers from Art Blakey to Bill Brueford. I upgraded the hi hat to the VH14 within the first week. Now I have all the kits that I would use sounding brilliant, takes a lot of work. All the very many waste of space crap kits have gone incuding the very stupid lounge kit. My mind boggles at who mixed the kits that were put in the module and on what. I have top studio gear and not one of the kits sounded right. 2 were ball park acceptable.

Love my 503 other than the Hi Hats! I can't stand it! It's annoying and too small. The worst part is trying to pedal splash the hats. Miserable!

Those cymbals still sound like cheap brass beginners cymbals.
