I wish we could celebrate same sex love not sex … I’ve been to 3 prides and even though there are booths for awareness and mental health and local businesses there are tons and tons and tons of sex booths and no dress code…

I just want to say that in little clips like this we rightfully revere moments like Stonewall - what Joy described as a "riot" and a confrontation with police - but there are those who are quick to denounce heated protests today. It's time to take that retrospect and actually apply it to contemporary events.

The first 80 seconds are about gay and lesbian pride. Most of the recent bills are about TQ, not LGB. Gay pride parades were never about eliminating the women's category in athletic competitions or medicalizing gender nonconforming children.

I’m 68 years old and I’ve never understood why a month (for Pride - of any kind: race, sexuality, respect, you name it) needs to be celebrated and people educated for, theoretically, for such a short time. Shouldn’t Pride be everyday for everyone? Personally, I’ve never needed anyone, outside of my parents, to instill pride in who I am and to appreciate other people - be they any color or sexual preference. I do, however, understand the need and opportunity to educate the world on our differences - and what makes us all the same.
