For anyone who is wondering, Sulfuric acid is a highly corrosive, odorless, oily, viscous liquid that can be colorless to dark brown in color, depending on its purity. It can cause severe chemical and thermal burns to the skin and eyes, and can also be toxic if inhaled, damaging to organs, and potentially carcinogenic. Exposure to sulfuric acid can occur through skin contact, eye contact, ingestion, or breathing contaminated air.

Edit: dang that's a lot of likes thx

these kinds of stories genuinely freak me out! my dad works at a chemical plant, and he has to be pouring stuff into practically a jug of acid. i would hate for him to fall in.

Not exactly sure what this plant was called, but I believe it just relocated within California. Potentially was the tesoro-martinez refinary. Especially since those last shipping logs were from the end of January in the video. On febuary 12th, 2014 two workers were sprayed with sulfuric acid after 2 pipe joints separated. They both sustained severe burns and 84, 000lbs of acid was spilled. After re-opening a month later, on March 12 2014 two workers cut into a pipe still pressurized with sulfuric acid. OSHA shut them down both times. Only to be totaled $170, 000 in compliance fines.

I want to urban explore like this guy bro- but my town isn’t famous for abandoning factories and hotels

And they haven't cleaned out the chemicals! That's a recipe for disaster when you're leaving a place abandoned!

The fact that there's still supplies makes me feel like there are still people in there with not so great intentions. Then again, I'm probably just being paranoid.

When your going to places like this or somewhere with chemicals I would recommend wearing gloves because you never know what could have happened like if there is a life threatening chemical but it is just a recommendation

brother, wear gloves, you go into some dangerous areas, and catching a disease from there could be deadly, make sure to be safe ❤

Company seems negligent with potentially PII information. Company could have easily shredded the confidential documents. Really shows their attitude towards the rules and the law.

The reason why they left and the reason for the paperwork:

When the employee fell in to the acid the smell was so severe everybody left immediately, and nobody came back for their stuff. A few weeks later, Some higher ups in the factory came back to the office to look for paperwork to try to cover up the death.
