What is the white cable for that attaches from below the vibrator onto the motherboard? I pulled the piece off the motherboard that the wire attaches to when taking the wire off of it... so shit wondering If I should continue moving forward with the battery change or if its not even worth it and if I should try to resell these parts .. screen, battery, etc. Thanks

I have some marks and dents on my back panel so I would like to switch that to a new one. It should't be too hard at least what I saw from your video. However what adhesive do you use on your screen. I want to be able to detach my screen if I need to.

I just changed the battery watching this. Thanks for the help bc its way too complicated not to fuck something up. I managed to put together eveything but when i turn on the phone the screen is black. I can see it powers on and the touch buttons working. Did i broke the screen or something?

during a screen replacement the ribbon connector that is uncovered at 11:17 in this video got ripped apart and broken. anyone know how i can fix that?

htc improved everything but internal design. so repairing is for specialists and technical service only.

where are you based ? I need my HTC 10 to repair ( also restarting problem ) I got full diagnostic from HTC, so it should show whats wrong wit it, but they want almost new phone price for repair alone !!! I need somebody who can repair it but without damaging look of phone ( got this problem with my HCT 8, was looking like mess after repair :( ) I am in Uk and happy to send my phone and pay reasonable price, just it has to be professional why can repair without damaging

The screen replacement would be easier as the display is the first unit which comes out during disassembly.

Can I change the battery? My phone is not loading anymore - the LED is not turning on, if I plug it. Or do I have to buy a new one?

Hi there, my phone keeps starting over and over again even with the charger in it...I have tried most of the button holding reboots etc in all Youtube videos posted but to no success...are you able to suggest anything...HELP...not sure if I could do the job as good as you have...

Very very complicated... I will do a two-week working experience this summer, this is what I'm going to do... I really hope I won't have this phone (and most of the HTC and Sony devices, but that's not the point) to repair, it's so complicated! iPhones and older Samsungs are the simplest

pwrdbykyank, what do you say about the durability of the HTC 10 battery, considering its under the CPU and it often gets hot because of the quick charge charger ? Can it last 3-4 years with normal use ? :/

Battery is underneath the processor, so that it gets damaged quickly with the heat of processor.

I dont understand why HTC has still not changed the way they design the phones internally i mean how hard is it... Im pretty sure it has to do with the motherboard manufacturing machines they don't want to buy new ones.
