My goodness, inline 6 engines from Porsche and BWM (especially the B58) have a crisp sound! Lovely stuff.

Thought it’s hard to tell in the video when you’re high in the rev range it’s very similar to the RB26 from the skyline. A very lovely in-line 6 sound!

I went to look at 2 440i´s.
One was a M performance with m performance exhaust and the other one was a bone stock 440i GC M sport.
Even tho I´m only 24, i went with the stock m sport GC. The m perf front splitter was just too low and the m perf exhaust does sound nice but I got them neighbours and wouldn´t like doing the cold start at 4am. That being said: the stock exhaust still does sound punchy and still has some burble action so it´s not like you´re left with a vacuum cleaner sound. And then there´s the fact the GC model was just more practical with little compromise to the exterior looks. All it needs is a little lip on the boot and it looks every bit as good. Can always install exhaust later on anyway

Fantastisch geluid zeg! Standaard uitlaat is al meer dan prima, maar met M performance is het geluid gewoon nog beter

For anyone considering it: In my opinion MPPSK is 100% worth it. I have it on my 340 and it is amazing. The only problem is gas mileage which drops to about 3 MPG when in sport mode, but hey- its 35 more hp and 39 more lb/ft torque, so what else can you expect :)

the only thing i dont like on my 340i touring with M Performance Exhaust is the start up noise it makes, its pretty loud even the engine is hot. but still love it in tunnels :)

sorry but wasn't the 340i with the performance exhaust cold? doesn't seem like the best idea to rev it that high then.
Regardless, lovely smooth sounds. Exactly what I was expecting from BMW.

Plot twist: my 2020 x6 with the same B58 engine still doesnt sound the same in sport plus tha in comfort here. Thanks OPF Filters!

Well, the cars are cool but the mic positions and environments where both cars were recorded differ to much to be able to objectively compare the sound of both cars. Of course they sound differently if you record one car from 2 meters away and the other from 4 meters. Or if you put the mic directly behind one exhaust and for the other car between the two exhausts. 😅 Of course it sounds more bassi when placed directly behind the exhaust rather than between the two. And comparing the sound of a car with a cold engine and one with a warm one... mhh. But for the rest it is an entertaining vid 👌 so, peace✌🏻.
