The legendary epic picture about events of the Great Patriotic War. The storyline of the steelworker Alexei Ivanov, who volunteered for the front, is woven into the historical context. All the most important events of the war are shown through Alexei's personal participation in them: from the famous military parade in November 1941 near the Kremlin walls to the hoisting of the Victory Banner over the Reichstag in May 1945. In the final scene, Stalin arrives in Berlin and is enthusiastically greeted by people of various nationalities, including Alexei and his girlfriend Natasha.

I have to say Russian Hitler is my favorite portrayal of Hitler in any film so far.

The guy who portrayed Stalin was actually not the preferred choice to play Stalin because he shared the same Georgian Accent as the Soviet Dictator. Stalin was famously insecure about his Georgian Accent and basically didn't like that this actor made him look less like the leader of Russia.

The actor went on to portray Stalin many times anyways, and when Stalin died, the actor was rejected for other roles because he was already THE Stalin actor. Poor guy couldn't catch a break
