I disagree with the text thing. People are not always glued to their phone. However, he should respond to your texts and not just ignore you. Respect is mutual. Respect his time and he will respect yours. Don't expect immediate responses. That is bad advice. Phone calls are for when you need an immediate response. Text messages are meant to be "at your convenience" and it has nothing to do with priority or love. That being said, I'm also guilty of wanting immediate responses to text messages...it is an ego boost after all.
