On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.

If you enjoy war thunder or Microsoft flight simulator 2020 or even dogfighting in Battlefield 2042, consider getting yourself into Digital Combat Simulator by Eagle Dynamics, the Combat side of Aviation with the BVR and Dogfights really provides a different and interesting perspective on aviation. You can fly all kinds of combat aircraft including the F-16, F-15, F-14, JF-17, Su-27, Mig-29, Mirage and the F-18 Hornet along with many other aircraft and helicopters like the Ka-50 and Mi-8.

Great video, as ever, but it seems to me that battle wasn’t about stealth, so much as your opponent’s hypersonic missiles totally out-matching your AIM-120s.

4:12 fun fact, assuming it wasn't the externals being empty, that was likely the feed tanks. Down low, the F-15E's powerful afterburner can drain the feed tanks faster than they can be replenished from the main tanks... resulting in a flameout if not careful.

It appears stealth is a non factor when using an R37M radar guided sniper rifle

Remember class, "Stealth" does NOT mean "invisible to radar". It simply means that it is less likely to detect UNLESS you have good radar systems, often ones that are powerful or have multiple bands of detection.

Those hypersonics are scary. That angle it pulled on that last shot...pfff

Strapping Meteors (or modern American long-range missiles) to the Strike Eagle should be really beneficial.

10:35 scared the hell out of me, great video though. The Strike Eagle is probably the most fun aircraft I've ever flown besides the F-16.

This just shows why you shouldn't underestimate the Su-57. It may not be as stealthy as the F-22, but the hypersonic missiles it carries can wipe out your target before it has a chance to take a good shot at you

I think the reason you can see the Su-57 at that range is because he's got these giant external missiles that send the RCS up.

I’ve had the same thought about the Russian take on air combat where they don’t need stealth because of their stand-off capability, planes like the Foxbat that used brute force to bring a very big missile up to a high speed and altitude as a force multiplier for the missiles PK.

I think stealth is one of those things where it has to be at a certain level in order to mean much of anything. That's why they stopped trying to produce a reduced-RCS version of the F-15. At the end of the day, if the enemy has 50nm range missiles, it doesn't really matter that much if they can see you from 60nm or across the continent. They're going to know you're coming. That said, I can see a "medium stealth" capability being somewhat useful against aircraft with already-marginal radar, like the F-16. If you could take 10nm off the Viper's BVR detection range, that actually means something, so long as his buddy in the Eagle hasn't already splashed you.

"I can't get this missle to come off." Ya cause the F15 is like dude, we need to be defending!!!!

I wonder if a Russian-style RWR display would be helpful in fights like this, since you'd have a better idea of how close the incoming missile was.

That FREAKING last missile almost gave me a heart attack...

GS, this is just too much! The tension is intense! Those hypersonic missiles are not to be taken lightly for sure! Appreciate your videos, Man, keep it up!

Well, you did say in one of your Su-57 video where you were carrying the R-37M externally that it would increase the RCS of your aircraft. So, that also might be one of the reasons why you were able to lock the Su-57 at about 80 miles. Not saying the F-15 radar isn't capable, but that was certainly the case in here

The felon might be using the first missile to scan and get an accurate lock for the follow up missle at that range, compensating for the radar while maximising the hypersonic missle’s closing rate… I know weird theory 😅

Would love another ww2 vs modern again!

The way that hypersonic came out of the clouds was pretty dope.
