11 Easy tricks in Beat Saber to help you go from EASY to Expert+. I am playing on the Oculus Quest 2 but can apply to PCVR and PSVR. Become a Pro at Beat Saber with these easy steps! disclaimer though I am not an expert professional at this game I have just gone through the easy mode to expert+ journey and have discovered somethings along the way to help me get there.

Ive been stuck on expert for ages, expert feels too easy but expert+ feels impossible

The patterns that go up and down for each saber, are called streams. These can be put in places in the song that are fast. These can show up in many different ways. So make sure to look ahead, or sight read, to get the right. Also, be sure to anticipate that blocks. Once you play more levels, you start to notice that you seen these patterns before, and slice away! That's how you get flow.

One tip I have is never use no fail mode. Play Expert+ songs at slower speeds if you need to, but learning to really master these songs will make it feel much more comfortable.

I find that keeping no fail off pushes me into a "do or die" state, forcing me to stay focused and clear the songs. On expert+ it's especially thrilling

I got beatsaber 3 days ago never have played before (and owning VR) and went from normal to expert consistently. The biggest things I’ve learned are to be efficient with your swipes (learning the difference between big swings and wrist snaps) and the biggest thing: BREATHE.
I found that whenever I had to hit a heavy stream of notes I had to remind myself to calm down and take deep breaths.

4:03 there's also the cross-vertical. The two blocks will want you to slice at the wall's direction. Usually the right column of blocks will want your right hand on top. And the opposite for the left column.
Conclusion: the hand that goes on top is going to be the same as the direction of the slice usually.

as an intermediate osu player these tips are for ANY beat and rhythem games. Personally i got to the expert point very well. overall its a great video to the novices and first starters on beat and rhythem games. good luck mate

Today I made the swap from expert to expert+

Spin eternally on expert was a gatekeeper level for me and really got me to learn what to do
Then I decided it was time to move to expert+ so I beat elixia after about two hours and then I beat one hope first try

I am hoping I can keep finding expert+ songs that are doable for me before I can move up to the harder ones

one of the better tips videos to get to higher difficulties. thank you. Some of the patterns you called out (especially the ones where you rotate) are the one that are keeping me from really succeeding in expert. Hard isn't too bad, but the jump to expert is when the game really gets tough (and fun).

Additional Tip (but Late tip): Try out some other grips like for example the claw grip which can ease up movement on your wrists.

It only took me 3 weeks to get to expert+ .-.

Side notes: I never watched any of these vids for tips but I also play a lot of other rhythm games (osu, RoBeats, GD, a dance of fire and ice, spin rhythm XD, Cytoid, etc.) so I have some built up reaction time
