The FT-60R still has the absolute best complete feature set for a FM voice dual-bander. One feature that sets it apart from 99 per cent if the others: its battery situation. Affix the optional FBA-25 AA case on it with either AA alkalines or AA NiMH cells, and you have FULL TX power available. (If you really need it.)

Have all the above mentioned radios, plus the FT-2 and FT-3.
My experience is that when visiting my city’s central business district, there is only one radio to take with me. The FT-60.
Whilst I love all my Yaesu HT’s, the 60 is the only one with front end filtering adequate for the heavy intermod in the CBD!

Most of my radios are Yaesu. Currently building a emcomm box and thinking of doing an Emcomm awareness tour.

we have to do a better job getting this information out to people.

I picked up the Yaesu FT5DR last month from your Milwaukee store. It’s been awesome, but recommend your customers to get the charging cradle or even a larger battery.

Great presentation guys. I have 2 FT 60s and an FT 65. Frustrating that Yaesu won’t fix the speaker mic issue on the FT 60 after all these years. Wish we had HRO up here in Canada! Cheers!

The gents at the HRO near Beaverton OR were curt, abrupt, seemed put off when asked a question, failed to answer some questions and rude to myself and the other people as snippets of their interaction moved closer to mine. First and last time I’ve ever spent money at an HRO. These two gents are a delight. Glad I found this video.

Got to love a Yaesu Radio, I have just one wish with my FT70DE and that is I wish my battery would last longer than 4 hours, but it's great when I use it with my HRI-200

What would be nice is to see a less expensive option to the FT5DR that would still give you the ability to operate Wires-X via VOIP like the FT5DR with the proper cables. So maybe an upgraded FT70DR??
