when i was erasmus in turkey, i showed a video from yt to a spanish flatmate, a barcelona supporter. The video was "totti 20 best goals ever". He said :" great goals, but also lucky. i'll show you something from messi, the greatest." The comparison, considering goals, was quite good, i mean, they were quite similar. But just talking about best beauty goals.

Then i showed this video.

At the end, my spanish flatmate was completely upset and astonished. He just said:


"Messi don't do this things, man. Messi Can't do this. I can't believe what i saw. Respect".

Messi scored playing with henry, ronaldinho, xavi, iniesta, neymar, suarez, d.alves, etc.

Totti scored with evidently lower team level for the whole carrier. For love of his city, Rome.

Totti played until 29 as a playmaker, behind the center forward. He wasn't suppose to score that much.

When he was 29, he had a great injury, and was out from end of february until may. Although we was al 40% of his phisycal condition, he was called to play for italy in the world cup germany 2006. If you are asking who's the first, Silvio Piola was a great player during the 2nd WW, when the average final score of a match was something like 7-4. And totti was playmaker until 30. The comparisons are useless.

Maradona and Pelè said he is the best player in the world. They're probably right.

Sono juventino, ma non riesco a capire l'odio nei confronti di Totti. Capisco, gli sfotto ecc. ma ciò non toglie che sia un grande giocatore, uno dei più forti di tutti i tempi e non solo, che l'estero ci ha invidiato e ci invidia. Non sono due o tre episodi a cancellare comunque un bravo ragazzo, anche fuori dal campo. E poi, molti fanno gli Ultra, si lamentano del calcio mercenario ecc. Sotto questo punto di vista Totti va ammirato, perchè ha deciso di rimanere con la sua squadra, di cui era tifoso, della sua città, diventandone bandiera e rinunciando possibilmente a giocare in grandi squadre come il Real Madrid che lo avrebbero consacrato a leggenda con titoli e soldi. Io stimo Totti, calcisticamente ed umanamente. E' un gigante del calcio. Le immagini parlano chiaro, e la sua carriera. Nel calcio non contano solo soldi e titoli. Il mio modestissimo parere.

I cant stop wonder what he would do if he played for a top team in Europe. But he chose HONOUR and LOVE to his jersey instead, something rare nowadays.

Quasi 25 anni fa un mio alunno (che poi, tra l'altro, bocciammo, ma a scuola andava male, purtroppo!), che giocava nello stesso ruolo di Totti nella Primavera dell'Avezzano, mi disse che la domenica precedente avevano incontrato la Roma e perso per 4-0 e fin lì tutto normale! Mi aggiunse poi che in Primavera, nella Roma, nel suo stesso ruolo (n° 10), giocava un autentico FENOMENO ed aggiunse: "Che ci fa questo in Primavera, dovrebbe stare in PRIMA SQUADRA!". Era, credo, il 1992, più o meno febbraio o marzo ... Totti aveva 15 anni.

We wont see player like Totti for 200 years. Unbeliviable at everything, dribling, speed, imagination, shoots, power and loyality. I think its impossible to say that some player is GOAT because every period has big players, but it is sure that he is one of greatest ever.

Un giocatore distrutto in passato dai media..uno che oltre alla tecnica immensa e alla visione di gioco mostruosa ha una media realizzativa impressionante, se avesse sempre giocato da attaccante puro avrebbe fatto quasi 1000 gol in carriera(invece ha iniziato a 30 anni a ricoprire quel ruolo)..uno che se fosse nato da firenze in su sarebbe stato già fregiato del titolo di calciatore italiano più forte della storia...
