When thinking about Totti, two moments are the most important for me - first, when a man on tv said - please pay attention of this boy, he's extremely talented. It was his first appearance as a pro, he was 16 and I was just a 7 yo playing on the floor, while dad was watching the game. And I thought - ok, Totti, I can remember that. From that moment on, for me, his name became a synonym for football. Here in Serbia we could watch Serie A on Sunday, and I was always hoping they would broadcast Roma games. I was one of the rarest possible cases here, a Roma fan (Stankovic and Mihajlovic played elsewhere), and was growing up while he was becoming a great player, then a superstar, then legend. And of course the lob against Inter, I remember it as it was yesterday, me and dad were watching the game and, when Totti got the ball on the middle I just jumped of the chair and screamed - goal! - and instantly realized my dad was standing too, expecting something, somehow we both knew he would score. And what a strike that was! I keep that moment in heart. Dad's long gone. I still watch football, but can't enjoy it much. Without him on the pitch, my passion is almost nonexistent, can't help it. Thank you for all the years and joy you brought, for your passion and commitment, skills, goals, unforgettable moments, the season '00 - '01, for refusing RM and staying faithful to your beloved Roma...Thank you for everything.

That's why he's my favourite player ever and the fact that Totti is still playing at the highest level aged 39 (!!) just makes me admire him even more. The day Mister Francesco retires will be a sad one for football...
