Caitlin Clark has Responded to Indiana Fever Coach Christie Sides about the allegations that Clark made Indiana Fever to lose their game against Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky team. Caitlin Clark had the opportunity to shoot and give Indiana Fever a win over Chicago Sky but she opted to pass the ball.

Are we tailing about the last shot with .5 of a second left on the clock? If we are then .5 of a second is acknowledged to not be enough time for a catch and shoot - but enough time for a tip in. A highly contested tip in under the basket is not designed for Caitlin. Because of Caitlin’s passing abilities, it was thought the best use of her skills was to make the in bound pass. If I’m talking about the wrong play - my apologies. A better question is why the Fever changed their strategy from what had been working in the first three quarters of the game to taking Caitlin out of her point guard position and making her a shooting guard that none of her team mates would pass to while being stuck in the corner. Every time the Fever do this they get the same result. By the way, one more assist would have given Caitlin 14 which would have been a single game rookie record. After have 13 assists in the first three quarters, Caitlin had 0 assists in the 4th quarter. Does that make sense. Caitlin needs to be in the point guard position because of her court vision, her basketball IQ, her passing skills, and her natural unselfish inclination to distribute the ball to others. How hard is it to understand that? When that happens, the whole team functions at a more effective level and everyone’s contribution is optimized. When it doesn’t happen, the Fever fall apart. If this keeps happening, someone will lose their job over this.

The big difference between Clark and most of the Fever Team, is tha Clark wants her teammates to succeed and play as a coherent team, and distributes the ball accordingly. Most of her teammates want to shine like Clark to prove that they are as good as she, and so play individually, and not as a team. Coach Sides should understand this, and make corrections accordingly. Otherwise, she should resign in favor of Lisa B.
