@TheJBronson the Google Nexus is a previous iteration of the Galaxy Nexus. To my understanding, samsung made both handsets for google.

@renkinjutsu01 Plus, the clock in the status bar is white instead of that dark cyan color and the 3 bottom buttons look different from the original ICS ones.

@xenover that was omap 3. the the TI omap 4 processors are better than Tegra and Qualcomm.'s dual cores. Remember the term "dual core, dual channel, dual memory" Omap 4 SOCs has that. the OMAp 4460 was actually designed to run perfectly on 720p screen resolution.

@flurlify the processors are not neck and neck. The dual-core A5 chip is 1 GHz vs 1.2 GHz on the Galaxy Nexus..which also boasts not a qHD, but a full HD screen, which can hang with iPhone's retina display. Yes the iPhone is made with better parts, but it's behind the curve in the sense that it doesn't even have 4G or it's own version of the NFC chip - which is the future in sharing content & paying for things.

Yes... i noticed. this one says "Ice Cream Sandwich" while on the google event the prototype there says "android 4.0.1". so this is definitely an earlier version of ICS. GSMarena should clear it up on the title because the engadget videos posted yesterday has a very smooth and fast UI. and i also notice that there are red lines forming when you touch the touchscreen. :)

@AcElagg those were probably bugs or some tests procedure :). this is an early build of Ice cream sandwich that is why.

I'm gonna miss the easy access of a menu button. I'm so curious as to why this was taken away...

how did you get the on-screen navigational buttons to look like that? Looks pretty cool.

I am an Android fanboy and I am definitely getting this phone, but I'm interested to see the benchmarks of the Galaxy Nexus. Currently, the 4S dominates all other phones computationally. I'm sure ICS will help this, but it's intimidating nonetheless.

@pvkvicky2000 what are you talking about? this is a prototype. An early build of ice cream sandwich. go watch videos from the October 19th galaxy nexus launch videos from engadget. and see how super smooth the final version of ICS

@RaikouTch you are correct, when he looks about phone in settings it shows version as ice cream sandwich, i saw another reviewer and when he showed it it showed ice cream sandwich 4.0.1

I can tell it's not the final version of ICS
1) The icon for phone app on home screen is different from demo
2) The red border on the screen that pops up is only supposed to happen in the SDK
