Hey Bryan. Nice unboxing and comparison to the Mavic. LOL brother welcome to typical Florida weather. It will be that way here till at least halfway thru Sept. Very hot and very humid. Oh Sept. is peak of hurricane !

The X8 video looked really good, you had a nice flat horizon. The X8 has a lot of promise, but every one seems to have some sort of quality issues, including the bad prop on mine. Colski had a flyaway, and lost his. Gorilla Man had to ultimately send his back, Duranafy's X8 flew uncontrolled into a mud bank, mine had a prop fall apart. There constant error messages "drone overloaded" etc. and app functions that don't work as advertised, that keep it from the drone we had hoped for. I really want to like the X8. Let's hope that they get some of these issues ironed out. I also see the Fimi Army has given you a couple of thumbs down. I get more thumbs down on Fimi X8 videos than any other. Great test Bryan! I look forward to more of your take on the X8.

Fantastic job Bryan! Loved the video! You can't beat the X8 SE when it comes to features vs price but there are so many reports of hardware failure issues it scares me away. I hope you got a good one like Marcus. My 4k Mi Around was my favorite done when it was working right. But then the compass started to not want to calibrate then the battery started discharging all the way down to 5v (it was a 4s) so none of the lights would come on and it refused to charge so I had to buy a new battery and then moments into the first flight on my new battery the drone tumbled 100ft to the ground and was destroyed due to an ESC failure. The drone was a blast to fly and had an excellent camera and seemed well built but it seems Xiaomi/Fimi still skimp on parts and don't put in quite enough testing to totally trust their birds yet which is a shame because you can't beat the features they offer at the low price which is what Xiaomi is known for. Seems the Zino is the only foldable drone outside of maybe the spark that comes close to the X8 in terms of performance and camera for under $500.

I hate that, I agree with John C. I'm still wondering why banggood will not answer me back for the replacement battery on that F11 I have. Bummer when things come like this when it's supposed to be New. Have a great weekend Bryan, talk to you soon.

Footage looked real smooth even in all that wind. The X8 is a bit out to my price range but I'm looking at saving up for the A3 maybe. I flew the UPair in all that wind the other day, it really got bounced around.

For Pete’s sake... it’s an almost $500 drone and they sent a crappy cable that falls apart. The bean counters at xaomi are regretting that lack of QC check on the cable now!
