As a Texan, we don't have many Waffle Houses (at least in my area) but Whataburger is our equivalent and if you go there late enough in a smaller town there's this weird time period around 3-4am where you'll start finding old timers and farmers getting their morning coffee and hanging out while drunk high schoolers (emphasis on the high) chug the blue power-aid from the fountain in an attempt to prevent the hangover that is already setting in before they sneak their girls and themselves back home all the while hoping the cops that also usually start coming in around that time don't recognise the bloodshot eyes or their vehicle in the parking lot from the local 'neighborhood moms' facebook groups' Karens complaining about some shit they did
