I can't believe these two caught on so quickly. They've perfectly described the difference between IHOP and Waffle House after going to each place once. IHOP has always been the "safe" Waffle House.

Waffle House has a vibe like a back alley in a dangerous city. IHOP is more of a "Hey there, sugar, what'll you have today?" sunshine-y vibe.

Ironically, not a huge fan of the pancakes from IHOP. They make great omelettes though. Personally I feel like for the cost, Waffle House is the better deal and their hashbrowns are significantly better.

“International” mostly because of the Crepes which is apparently French (?). Used to have more international things on the menu, but all locations (as of 2024) are in North America (US and Canada) along with some other overseas ones in airports.

I didn't know IHOP was an acronym, I just thought it was short for "I hop to the shop"
