I just don't understand why it changed Google's IP monitoring and don't leave it with your public IP address. Can you explain to me what the difference is?

I am a new student and I have to install snort on the pfsense. And I have a problem, the professor block the available packages' section it doesn't show. The is any other way to install snort?

thank you for the great content its very helpful . i have a question i just install vmware and gns3 and i connect a router to the cloud than th pfsense to the router, (cloud ==> Router ==> pfsense ==> ethernet switch ==> windows 7 pc . i can ping the router and the pfsense from the windows machine but the problem i don't have acces to the internet in this machine (windows 7) i can just go to the pfsense address . the problem is i can't download any package i want to add snort i dont know how to fix the problem.

If I enable snort over VPN will I be disconnected and locked out?
Do I have to be on-site to enable and configure snort?

Hi, thanks for the video.
What will happen if I use the block mode for destination and do an nmap scan to pfsense gateway IP? Will snort block the pfsense itself ? It's too dangerous if the developers didn't thought this.

Good work, but for proteced from ouside Attackes on Wan on your Server you must block the source too
