Yup! I'm a Machine Learning Engineer and build these models. When you train them a lot you come to find they are just really good at sourcing a database full of information. Humans are intelligent, computers are fast, smart and accurate, but the intelligence comes from us who program the model.

AI doesn't have to be sentient for it to be AI and the internet is it's "brain". We don't even know how consciousnes forms or what determines it for us, we might even be like AI with an illusion of sentience.
