The "minor 6 pentatonic, " c'est chouette. (Obliging Jerome.) Very mysterious and ethereal...what a revelation. Thanks for this!

But what a horrible name – given that the scale's characteristic note is a *major* 6th. (Why does music theory need to give everything a needlessly confusing name?) "Minor pentatonic, major 6th" would be clearer, or just "m5M6" for short. Even simpler if you know Indonesian music, it's just "slendro ♭3."
