Yet another video whining about the higher than expected price point. The average price of a new vehicle in the US is $48, 644 dollars. I bought a new 500e at a $4-k discount for $30, 095. No, I don't want a Model 3 and don't care. If you're not willing to pony up for a stylish and good looking new car for $30-k, then don't. If you want to complain about ridiculously high vehicle costs, make a video complaining about the Cybertruck or any other electron guzzling, overweight EV.

Allegedly, Stellantis is investing $100M in Turin to update the battery to achieve more range and improve affordability, as well as build a hybrid version. Maybe we’ll see the hybrid version come to the states?

I drove the first 500e for a year and really enjoyed it. Picked it up slightly used at a Fiat dealer for only $7k and zero problems. The new 500e is definitely an upgrade but I suspect most, if not all, will be leased at an attractive monthly rate. Nobody in their right mind would spend over $34k on this! Off-lease they’ll probably go for around $15-20k in a few years.

I agree with the assesment. If the car had more range it would be top seller. Otherwise, it's beatiful, and would still consider getting one.

As an editor myself, transitions are for montage sequences music videos or to tell a story or to bookmark a moment, especially in longform narrative content as opposed to showing off and implementing in every cut just because. I think this car would be great for where I live - on an island off of Washinton State where gas prices are about $1.50 more than the mainland, and electric rates are very reasonable. Parking is often tight, and 140 mile range is perfectly fine. It's just my wife and I and our two little dogs so as a 2nd vehicle also fine. But the price for value... Kinda ridiculous!

There are some info that 500e even in europe sales so poor that fiat started to developing an ICE 500. So maybe there is a chance also for proper abarth.

This car has two major things against it in the US - Size and range. The lease deals on these things are going to need to be $199 per month or less to even move metal.

We have 2024 Fiat 500e's selling for $6, 600 here locally with fewer than 1, 000 miles on them.

This is a very beautiful tiny car, unfortunately it doesn't come as an ICE and it makes it struggling in the EU as well, what a pity, as for the previous version the cabrio is adorable too!
The battery range can work, as you said, for European cities, small distance, small streets. The hybrid version will give a boost in the EU for sure but won't help the Abarth version that as EV and fake pipes sound 🫣 no body wants, especially at that price. But again, the car is so cute.
Even though it will never make it to US Idk to know your opinion about the upcoming Grande Panda, the US market will probably have a Jeep model on the same platform. What a pity the US won't have the Avenger, it is another very well designed one.
