I love this weapon unconditionally!! Its so cool and you can put any ashe of war on it for different fun builds! Great build in the video btw! Bloody slash is OP

i used the nagajiba for half of my first playthrough but i put unsheathe instead of bloody slash as aow. this helps with stance breaking alot and is a cheatcode for farum azula since the beastman get stancebroken by one heavy aow

Would recommend a faith dex build for the keen Nagakiba.
1. use lightning buff and unsheathe for heavy damage.
2. Use Bloodflame blade and double slash for a rivers of blood equivalent. (It’s probably better)
3. And use black flame blade and double slash for fire giant, Elden beast, plasidusax, etc.
It’s a very versatile build.

If you actually want this to be better, use sepukku, golden vow, shabriri howl, rotten insignia, prothesis, blood exultation, whichever other talisman, and then the jellyfish shield

Go double slash hits faster and harder causes bleed loss faster.

I use something similar rn. RL 150, Keen Nagakiba with Double Slash. Same Talismans. White Mask for bleed buff. Bloodflame blade incantation (you need to rebuff in a fight, but it maxes out AR since keen scales dex at A and you dont need arcane for bloodflame). Rallying Standard instead of golden vow and Flame Grant me Strength. Instead of Opaline Tear I use Greenburst Crystal Tear for stamina regen.

I like nagakiba but i prefer double slash bloody but make sure you switch it to standard for the radagon and elden beast fight. Now the reason you want to switch to standard for only the final battle is because the elden beast is weak to slash so you'll do more damage to elden beast and make the fight just a bit easier but if you have trouble with radagon but not elden beast use an ash of war that gives flame dmg because radagon is weak to flame but double slash blood can carry your run till you get to radagon. I used this build to beat the game on my first run but i used a different guide and didn't ever buff myself lol

I’d would go further and say it is the best weapon in Elden Ring. Its move set enables you to adapt to every situation and its range greatly increases the effectiveness of almost any ash of war. My favorites are piercing fang, double slash, sword dance, and unsheathe.

Same exact setup except Dual wield with Piercing Fang (occult) AOW on the right hand and Spinning Slash (Blood) AOW on the left. Two hand either one depending on if enemy boss has bleed or not. This setup will take on ANY enemy w ease

This isn’t even a proper Nagakiba build. You’re just using bloody slash and stacking buffs that don’t share any stat categories.

1. Nagakiba with Dex affinity Double Slash AoW
2. 50 Vigor, 20 Endurance, 60 Dex, Level 15 for Faith and Level 12 for Arcane. Should be about 125 overall.
3. Use Bloodflame Blade + Flame Grant Me Strength + Swarm of Flies Incantations.
4. Back pocket a dagger with Golden Vow AoW
5. White Mask helmet, Lord of Blood Exultation, Millicent Prosthesis, Rotten Wing Sword Insignia. Use Thorny Spiked Tear and Fire Tear

This will do SO much better for PVE than the build in this video.

I’ve done like 5 different playtroughs with this katana and I gotta say my favorite build was the blood flame blade build

Blood hound step with Poison option is OP with this weapon . You literally can dodge all attacks and poison buildup will do same effect as scarlet rot ..

I use a dex build and have minimal req for faith and arcane to use bloodflame(bleed does not change the amount of bleed just the fire dmg) using a strength build because it actually leads to higher damage due to 2 handing it. (Dex if you want to use 2) and whatever ashe is good I like spinning slash but unsheathe is also good.

Power stance two nagakibas have flaming strike on one With quality affinity and sword dance with bleed affinity on the other make a quality affinity build and be a menace in pvp

Double Slash would probably be a better option in terms of stacking successive hits and bleed. Bloody Slash is just a singular hit.

I agree but adding any ash of war for me is a waste on a nagakiba unsheathe is simply too op. Find the unsheathe ash of war apply it using blood affinity then u have some mad nagakiba.

Don’t use seppuku use bloody flame, has fire AND Blood dmg. Which is great for enemies who don’t take blood damage but are weak or non resistant to fire damage
