Yes, bronze will oxidize like brass or steel and take on a patina. That is what bronze does and most historians (and other experts) find the patina quite charming.
If you want it to stay shiny and play with it at the same time then polish it to your liking and spray it with clear coat.
This has not changed for hundreds of years. Except now we have clear coatings to make it look unnatural.

I only saw part of the opening ceremony and I labeled the Paris Olympics a disaster, born from zero class & void of honorable traditions. This aftermath doesn't surprise me. The opening ceremony was a joke so the rest was sure to follow that theme.

1. Complaints about how poor the quality of the bronze medal was? I wonder what the gold medals are like as they are only gold plated!
2. Few countries want to host the Olympics anymore and it is not because of the financial burdens but all about the scandals controversies etc happen.
3. Complaints about transfender participants in the Okympics creating unfair advantages - a new category of competition for each sport should be created for them and mabe testing should go back to the old fashion way to determine participants sex ie compulsory invasive physical examinations like in tgegood old days.
4. what's worse Cholera or COVID? COVID didn't stop athletes competing but cholera could have as tablets were doled out as a prevention. Maybe the same should have been considered for COVID antiviral medication but then who knows what's in COVID medication or vaccinations as a preventative could fail drug testing or be an unfair advantage.
5. If the French are known for their food - they just lost ALL their Michelin stars from all the complaints from lack of and poor qualiy of it by athletes!
6. The uncomfortable mattresses - BYO should have kept the ones from Tokyo as souvenirs .
