This is such a well-produced video, Danny. Love the intro and how well you care for your bike.

Very informative. Where I live I usually don't go longer than a month in the winter without riding my bike at least once.

Poor nighthawk 😢
The same thing happened with my uncle’s bike, a Honda xr 600 r ‘89, my uncle had that bike for 9 years, then when he died, the bike had to sit outside for 10 years, now it doesn’t even turn on, everything got covered in rust: the wheels, the chain, the suspensions... we couldn’t even bring it inside, you could actually cry if you saw it, it’s full of grass and the leather of the saddle is breaking apart, that bike never got the love it deserved, and now it’s waiting to be scrapped

Hey what's up HEROrr, I just discovered your channel on utube, subscribed of course. I'm MOTORIDER 4LIFE. I own the same 08 cbr600rr in silver. I love the red fairings you put on. What's the total cost to switch over. I made a few videos here and there. Would love to get right into motovloging, But with 3 kids and working 6 7 days a week. I could never find time to make quality edits. But I will put some out here and there. I think I watched most if your videos. They look great!!! I'm curious what computer and editing software u use. If I record in 1080p, my videos are choppy. Anyways looking forward to more vids man. I've been riding since I was 8 and I'm 39 now, from dirtbikes to street bikes. My cbr600rr would be my 6th street bike, by far the best bike I owned thus far. Yup winter sucks as I live in Canada

Additions to winterizing:

Add non ethanol fuel for winterizing(shell premiuim) in addition to fuel stabilizer, ethanol fuel tends to fall apart after 20 or so days if its not being used, that attracts water/moisture to the systems

But a LOT of what you did was overkill and a waste of money imo.

If its indoors you dont need to coat all the metal surfaces with WD 40, or even a cover for the bike. its not going to corrode if there's no water/salt on it. ( i stored it long before they started putting any salt on the road)

All i did was change oil/filter, clean/lube chain, add non ethanol fuel and stabalizer, and hook it up to battery tender.

I’ve got a 2015 raptor 700R fuel injected atv. It set with over 1/2 tank of fuel for a year and a half. I’ve changed the oil, filter, and charged the battery. I also drained the old fuel. Would adding a little sea foam to the new fuel work? I have been trying to read about how to best go about getting it up and running without causing damage. It’s only set for 1.5 years. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Great video.

I like your video and appreciate your effort, but putting plastic over metal is a bad idea. If your bike is stored in a warm dry place you might be okay but I wouldn't do it. It can sweat and rust.
