Thanks Andy for the heads up, I shall not hold my breathe, as it seems this government flip flops all the time. Love and Light😊👍✨

Id happily settle with £900 a month for pip in place of Universal Credit. We all know its such a broken system that Universal Credit should of been scrapped by now

I'd say that if there is a planned increase to benefits, it likely has something to do with Jack Monroe and her campaign. The ONS are adopting the "Vimes-Boots" index.
By changing the way we calculate inflation and prices at the sharp end of the wedge, it will highlight the problems faced by the poor.
Obviously we do things the way we do now.. to hide the facts of inflation over wage rises.
Under the UKs current measurements the UK poverty level is the worst in the G7... and those are favourable measurements to make things look better than they are.
I think the new Vimes-Boots index, is going to present information and data in a new way, a more obvious way, and when that data is released there will be a lot of anger as people see in the data in black and white, what they have long known but have been gaslit by the government about.

there will be real anger and i think any plans to create a basic income now are to placaite some of that societal anger.

So what happens if someone is getting the current enhanced rate on both components will they go straight over to the new rate on pip or do they need medical to get the new maximum pip payment and has it been decided yet what’s going on here

All people need helping with financial, people are working still struggling with price rise with everything, so only people get pip get more financial help? why not give UBI payment for everyone that would be fair, weather they work or not.

1:53 There is nothing dystopian about Universal Basic Income... it's one of the best ideas there is. It has two forms, unconditional and conditional: the conditional kind is a completely new approach to democracy using money as the unit of voting instead of ballots and is achieved with a Congressional Crowd Fund, and the unconditional kind simply realises that the Economy is the Congress. Don't be so quick to dumb down UBI, it really is one of the best ideas out there to deal with growing inequality.

will this have a rent component or will that become once again a different benefit, housing benefit, as one of the biggest parts of the social welfare budget is going on rent, eg, i get 65 quid a week jsa, and my rent is 67 quid a week for a 1 bed flat
