if you die you can just reset the day and try again so it doesn't feel like a waste. I used to avoid skull caverns but with lots of bombs, staircases from jade, and luck boosts I can get enough prismatic shards (from iridium nodes) to upgrade my tools/weapons after a couple runs! I actually need cindershards more than prismatic shards at this point lol!

God, I remember the first time that I did staircases to get deeper into the skull cavern. It was before the desert trader was patched and so you had to grind a ton of stone to make them yourself. So glad they added the trader 😆

My method has always been Prep inventory before bed (you want a crap ton of bombs, coffee, and cheese or whichever food you prefer but I raise cows and have a surplus of cheese. And bring only a sword, you don't need a pickaxe or hoe, you have bombs.), Warp Totem immediately upon waking up, coffee, run to the mines, and immediately begin blasting that place to next Tuesday. With a little practice I've been able to get to level 100 pretty consistently and get a good haul each time. You end up with things like spicy tuna you can eat as you go as well. Don't worry about getting blasted by your own bombs just keep eating your cheese. Maybe bring a couple staircases for infested levels if you don't like hunting around speedily haha. But the bomb method gives you loot whereas the staircase method does not (and also if your first dip that deep is with staircases, Qi will be disappointed)

Last time I did a run, the fire time i did a run with confidence actually, I got to about floor 96 before passing out because of 2AM. I have had very few worse feelings than that :')

I remember the first time I played stardew and gotten the skull key. I died on the fourth day and lost my galaxy sword. Now I’m on a different save {the file for that one got deleted} and I can just breeze through it until it’s night. The farthest I’ve gotten is level 99 where I passed out. Thanks for the tips.
